3rd prize

Lin Chen received the best poster award (3rd prize) at the YIC GACM AC. CES Conference. The conference took place from July 20th through 25rd, 2015 at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany. It primarily aims to bring together researchers and students working in the broad areas of computational science and engineering. The poster presents a numerical method to solve the three-dimensional elasticity problem of surface represented solids. The accuracy of the method is validated against analytical solutions. In general, the proposed formulation is able to model solids bounded by an arbitrary number of surfaces.
